In the fall of the following school year though, was when things truly began to grow into what they are today - a thriving group of motivated, empathetic young people looking to improving our school, our community, and our world in any way we can.

Sponsor a light to be given to one of our charitable and non-profit partners for someone in need. Your purchase covers the cost of one light that will be sent to one of our charitable partners.  Please note that this purchase is not tax deductible.


Puerto Rico Hurricane Relief

Lights sponsored for Hurricane Relief will go to our disaster relief aid partners responding to Hurricane Maria, Hurricane Irma and Hurricane Harvey in Texas, Florida, Puerto Rico the Virgin Islands and other impacted areas.  Our featured partner for this distribution is Convoy of Hope.

Convoy of Hope is a faith-based, nonprofit organization focused on children’s feeding initiatives, community outreach, and disaster response. They have served more than 80 million people to date. Convoy of Hope is consistently among the first to respond to disasters throughout the world, and are highly regarded for their scalable distribution model, Disaster Response teams, 6 international warehouses, and Mobile Command Center.

About LuminAID's Give Light Get Light Program
1.6 billion people around the world lack proper access to electricity. Many of these people are forced to rely upon dangerous, toxic, and expensive kerosene lanterns as their primary source of light. Through our Give Light, Get Light program, we partner with NGOs and non-profits all over the world to distribute LuminAID lights to individuals who will greatly benefit from a safe, rechargeable light source.
